Kofax Releases New Version of Its Business Communication Software

Kofax Communication Server 9.0 Enhances Information Exchange Capabilities for Automating and
Accelerating Business Processes

Kofax plc, the leading provider of document driven business process automation solutions, today
announced a new release of Kofax Communication Server (KCS), which automates the receipt,
exchange and output of business critical information between applications, devices and people. KCS
9.0 features new capabilities that improve the integration of inbound and outbound communications to
reduce the manual, slow and error prone processes typically associated with the receipt and transmission
of large volumes of documents, messages or other communications.

“The new capabilities we’ve added to KCS 9.0 extend its abilities as the most scalable and flexible enterprise
communication platform offered on the market today,” said Jim Nicol, Executive Vice President of Products at
Kofax. “KCS 9.0 delivers the most dependable and efficient communications platform for automating and
accelerating business processes, and can virtually plug into a customer's existing systems without requiring

are able to greatly accelerate the processing of documents and minimize costly document handling, data
entry and errors.

“Kofax Transformation Modules 5.0 enable organizations to manage their document processing requirements
faster, more accurately and at significantly reduced costs,” said Jim Nicol, Executive Vice President of
Products at Kofax. “This latest release reinforces our strategic commitment to invest in and extend our
industry leading, best-of-breed intelligent data capture solutions to meet the scalability, ease of deployment
and rapid return on investment requirements of our enterprise customers.”

Enhanced Support for High-Volume Enterprise Deployments
Kofax Transformation Modules 5.0 include support for enterprise class server hardware with adaptive
multi-core processing capabilities. This significantly increases document throughput and reduces processing
delays for high volume applications while keeping the hardware footprint small, thus improving efficiency while
concurrently minimizing operational support costs. The release also offers automatic batch restructuring and

Kofax Announces Front Office Server 3.0

New Release Empowers Distributed Users to Initiate Document Driven Workflows and Accelerate
Processing Times

Kofax plc, the leading provider of document driven business process automation solutions, today announced
the general availability of Kofax Front Office Server 3.0, the latest version of its enterprise application that
allows users to capture forms and documents at their points of origin through multi-function peripherals (MFPs),
desktop scanners and other devices for accelerated processing through Kofax Capture and Kofax
Transformation Modules software.

Kofax Front Office Server 3.0 enhances the functionality, performance and value of Kofax solutions by
enabling front office and remote users to directly initiate document driven processes and workflows. Tighter
platform integration extends users’ abilities by enabling workflow administration through Kofax Capture, thereby
consolidating these capabilities on a single platform, and improving office automation through a unified system
that is easy to use and deploy. As a result, organizations can significantly improve the efficiency of document
driven operations, speed processing times, reduce costs and enhance customer service.

The new release empowers users to scan and extract data from documents in a fast, efficient and more
cost effective manner by directly integrating MFPs, desktop scanners and other devices into document
driven business processes. In addition, the new version allows the processing of emailed or faxed
documents to be initiated from an MFP panel and receive the same administrative control options as
documents sent to a business process. Such capabilities provide administrators with greater document
control, visibility and traceability.

“Kofax Front Office Server 3.0 extends the power of our document automation solutions directly to distributed
branch personnel and other remote users,” said Jim Nicol, Executive Vice President of Products at Kofax.
“The software leverages Kofax’s enterprise level infrastructure, so our customers are able to maximize their
document capture investment to further increase productivity and generate even faster paybacks.”

Single Platform System Management
Release 3.0 offers tighter integration with Kofax Capture and Kofax Transformation Modules. As a result,
centralized administration, export, validation scripting, user management and workflows can all be driven from
a single platform. This allows customers to further extend their Kofax investment to MFPs, desktop scanners
and other devices deployed throughout the enterprise quickly and efficiently, thereby improving productivity
while reducing administrative development and support costs.

Thin Client Scanning
Kofax Front Office Server 3.0 offers a thin client scan application that supports scanning, image editing and
document indexing, thereby allowing users to initiate document driven processes directly from their browser. It
also provides administrators with controls that enable interfaces and workflows to be personalized to specific
users based on permissions, geography or device location. This maximizes productivity and ensures data
quality by managing user abilities to add, delete, rotate, annotate, redact or index forms and documents.

Remote Support and Disaster Recovery
Release 3.0 is supported by Kofax’s existing enterprise level infrastructure that enables systems to be cost
effectively deployed on an enterprise wide basis to remote locations with limited or restricted bandwidth.
The software can also be supported by regional departmental installations, providing a disaster recovery
backup system in the event that services from a primary central site are no longer available. This ensures that
business critical operations continue and vital documents are protected without the risk of lost data.

Kofax Acquires 170 Systems

Transaction Positions the Company for Leadership in the Rapidly Growing Invoice Processing Market

Kofax plc, the leading provider of document driven business process automation solutions, today announced
it has acquired 170 Systems, Inc., a leading provider of financial process automation software, for
consideration of $32.9 million, net of cash held by the company. The transaction is consistent with Kofax’s
stated acquisition strategy and both management and the Board believe it should position the Company for
leadership in the rapidly growing invoice processing market.

170 Systems is privately held, venture capital funded company headquartered in Boston, MA and has
approximately 140 employees. The company's flagship product, the 170 MarkView® Financial Suite, is a
proven workflow solution for invoice processing and related accounts payable (A/P) functions that is fully
integrated and certified for use with both SAP’s and Oracle’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
and typically delivers a return on investment (ROI) of less than one year. This is complemented by 170
MarkView Advisor, a real time financial process performance management and cash flow optimization
software, and SupplierExpress, a hosted software application that streamlines supplier interaction and
enables timely, accurate payments. The company's customers include Bank of Montreal, BT, ConAgra,
France Telecom, Juniper Networks, Reader's Digest, Sandia National Laboratories, Select Medical,
Thomson Reuters, University of Pennsylvania, Verizon Wireless and over 150 other companies.

Commenting on the acquisition, Reynolds C. Bish, Chief Executive Officer of Kofax, said: “This acquisition is
in line with our strategy of augmenting our organic growth with the acquisition of synergistic technologies or
complementary companies that increase our competitive advantage or expand our market reach. In this
specific case it addresses a significant competitive disadvantage we’ve publicly acknowledged and
discussed in some detail over the past year, and should therefore allow us to better pursue our revenue
growth strategies.”

He continued: “Our continuing profitability and strong balance sheet allowed us to effect this transaction from
a position of strength. As a result, we’re able to maintain a comfortable cash position and our $16 million
working capital line of credit remains available through September of 2011. Furthermore, excluding non cash
charges, we expect this acquisition to be earnings neutral this financial year and accretive in subsequent
periods.”

By acquiring 170 Systems Kofax has achieved the ability to deliver a complete invoice processing solution that
incorporates paper as well as electronic invoice capture and A/P workflow capabilities. Kofax’s management
and Board believe this should allow Kofax to gain a larger share of the invoice processing market which,
according to Paystream Advisors, is forecasted to grow from $1.1 billion in 2008 to over $1.8 billion in 2012
at an 18.3% compound annual growth rate (CAGR).

Kofax should realize additional revenue growth opportunities by pursuing the following selling strategies:

Less than 20% of 170 Systems’ customers currently utilize capture software. Kofax’s capture software is
already integrated with the 170 MarkView® Financial Suite and Kofax intends to market its capture
software to those companies.

According to Paystream Advisors electronic invoice processing is forecasted to be the fastest growing
segment of the invoice processing market, growing at a 27.0% CAGR, and most of 170 Systems’ customers
do not yet utilize electronic invoice processing software. Kofax’s electronic invoice processing software is
already integrated with the 170 MarkView® Financial Suite and Kofax intends to also market this software
to those companies.

Most Kofax customers do not have an invoice processing solution and the few that do utilize older or
proprietary solutions. Kofax intends to market 170 Systems’ software and solutions to those companies.

Most of 170’s Systems’ sales resources and customers are located in the United States. Kofax intends to
market 170 Systems’ software on a global basis through its hybrid go-to-market strategy, which supports
both direct customer engagements and indirect sales through over 1,000 channel partners in more than
30 countries.

The 170 MarkView® Financial Suite is a proven workflow solution for A/P functions that can also serve as a
flexible platform for automating other financial processes, such as “Quote-to-Cash” or Accounts Receivable
(A/R) functions and other departmental activities within large companies. Kofax intends to develop and
market additional solutions to further expand its market reach.

170 Systems’ audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2008 reported revenues of $28.1
million, a net loss from operations of $2.6 million and gross assets of $20.9 million. During the latter part of 2008
the company restructured its operations with the goal of approximately breaking even on the same level of
revenues during 2009 and, on an unaudited basis and excluding expenses relating to this transaction, the
company achieved that objective during the first six months of 2009. Kofax expects to effect additional
cost savings made possible by its acquisition of the company between now and December 31, 2009.

To acquire 170 Systems, Kofax paid total consideration of $43.0 million or net consideration of $32.9 million
after deducting $10.1 million of cash held by the company. Of the total consideration $29.7 million was in
cash, $9.0 million was in the form of a note payable due on September 4, 2010, bearing interest at the rate
of five percent per annum and guaranteed by Kofax’s bank and $4.3 million in the form of a hold back, with
$2.3 million to be released on September 4, 2010 and the remainder on September 4, 2011, subject to
certain indemnification terms and conditions.

Kofax Launches Kofax Monitor

Module Provides Real-Time, Enterprise-Level Monitoring and Metrics to Better Optimize the Performance of
Kofax Software Products & Solutions

Kofax plc, the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, today announced the launch of
Kofax Monitor, a module that provides real-time, enterprise-level monitoring and metrics to better optimize the
performance of Kofax software products and solutions, providing greater cost savings, increased efficiencies
and faster return-on-investment (ROI).

“Kofax Monitor adds considerable value to our capture products and solutions by reducing the amount of
staff and resources required to manually administer and care for vital enterprise business operations,” said
Jim Nicol, Executive Vice President of Products at Kofax. “The application automatically recognizes and
reacts to capture exceptions on a real-time basis. This enables users to effectively and efficiently monitor
capture operations and performance, meet service-level agreements and lower IT costs associated with
identifying and resolving system problems.”

Operating through an easy-to-use dashboard and intuitive graphics, Kofax Monitor examines system
components, assesses service viability and provides real-time access to operational information via Windows
or standard mobile device browsers. This enables users to demonstrate and ensure compliance with
service-level agreements as well as benchmark performance over time. Remote access capabilities allow
an organization to immediately and efficiently address system needs, resulting in less costly maintenance,
decreased down-time and better overall performance.

Key application features include “detect-and-notify” capabilities that immediately isolate a system error and
alert assigned personnel about the problem, transforming the process of troubleshooting into a proactive,
highly-focused resolution process that reduces IT maintenance costs and system down-time. Alert notifications
can be configured and sent to designated staff via email, pager, SMS, RSS, SNMP or other electronic
formats as preferred.

Kofax Monitor also offers “detect-and-correct” functionality that automatically resolves common error
conditions – such as a “hung” server – by rebooting or restarting a system, application or process. This
cost-saving automation significantly improves reliability, which is especially vital for capture environments
requiring high system availability.

Kofax Announces Version 4.0 of Kofax Transformation Modules, Strengthening Its Position in the
Transactional Capture Market Segment

New Release Combines Powerful Transformation Technologies into a Single Offering to Provide More
Robust Solutions that are Easier to Deploy and Maintain

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent Capture &
Exchange solutions, today announced a new release of Kofax Transformation Modules, which intelligently
automate the classification, sorting and separation of paper and electronic documents, and then extract and
validate the accuracy of the information they contain. Combining all Kofax transformation technologies into
one platform, Version 4.0 offers new features and enhancements that significantly increase ease-of-use and
application flexibility.

“Kofax Transformation Modules 4.0 reflects our continuing commitment to further strengthen our transactional
capture solutions,” said Jim Nicol, Executive Vice President of Products at Kofax. “We continue to invest
heavily in document classification and extraction to ensure that our customers have access to the best,
most advanced technology available in the market today.”

“This new release is consistent with that goal,” he added. “In this challenging economy, organizations are
refocusing their investments on solutions that generate a rapid and demonstrated return-on-investment. Kofax
Transformation Modules 4.0 effectively addresses this need.”

One Platform for All Document Types
Version 4.0 fully integrates Kofax’s Xtrata Pro and INDICIUS technologies into a single, unified platform with
added and improved capabilities. The most complete and versatile document classification and data
extraction offering on the market today, Kofax Transformation Modules 4.0 provides one platform to process
structured and unstructured forms and documents of any type. This results in greater cost savings,
accelerated deployments and less costly maintenance as well as provides more cost-effective applications
with shorter ROIs. Xtrata Pro and INDICIUS will remain an important part of Kofax’s offerings going forward
and the company will continue to maintain both products.

Enhanced Ease-of-Use
A key benefit of Kofax Transformation Modules 4.0 is “learn-by-example” technology that automates the
classification and extraction of information from any form or document type. By feeding sample forms or
documents into the system, customers can “train” the software to recognize the form or document type and
the specific location of business critical information contained therein. This also results in greater cost savings,
accelerated deployments and less costly maintenance and provides more cost-effective applications with
shorter ROIs.

Application Flexibility
Version 4.0 also features several new modules that enhance application flexibility and increase productivity.
For instance, “Document Review” enables users to verify the results of data classification and separation prior
to extraction to increase extraction rates and overall throughput rates, and an enhanced “Verification”
capability allows data to be double-checked after validation, thereby increasing data accuracy while reducing
downstream processing exceptions and delays.

Kofax Transformation Modules 4.0 is now available.

Kofax Unveils New Electronic Invoice Processing Solution

Kofax e-Transactions Enables the Best of Both Worlds to Manage Paper and Electronic Invoices

Basingstoke, October 22, 2008 – Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange
solutions, today announced the launch of Kofax e-Transactions, which adds electronic invoice processing
capabilities to Kofax solutions and thereby enables organizations to process all incoming invoices – whether
they arrive in electronic or paper form. Easy-to-use and deploy, e-Transactions integrates seamlessly with
Kofax Capture and Transformation Modules to offer the world’s most advanced solutions to automate invoice
processing in accounts payable departments.

Providing a simple and efficient way to reduce time-consuming and costly manual paper-processing, Kofax
e-Transactions captures and encrypts print files or imported data in standard text, image and extensible markup
language (XML) file formats. The resulting electronic information is then collected and delivered to Kofax
Transformation Modules for classification, data extraction and data perfection.

The software eliminates the need to print, mail, receive and process paper-based invoices and other
documents, thereby significantly reducing otherwise manual labor processes and costs, improving the
accuracy of the related data and accelerating processing times. This enables better accounts payable
management to ensure that all application terms, conditions and discounts are fully utilized.

“The global market for electronic invoicing continues to expand as organizations seek to improve efficiency and
lower costs, and Kofax continues to lead the way with the most comprehensive capture solutions to meet this
demand,” said Andrew Pery, Chief Marketing Officer at Kofax. “Kofax e-Transactions delivers practical solutions
that meet the needs of our customers to support the processing of both paper and electronic invoices. This is
done within the same powerful document capture environment that delivers process-ready data to a wide range
of back-end accounts payable workflow systems.”

Kofax e-Transactions is already being successfully deployed at several early adopters. One example is
Oakwood Worldwide, a leading global corporate housing and serviced apartment provider, which has
integrated the new technology as part of its existing Kofax invoice processing solution.

“Kofax e-Transactions takes our existing Kofax solution and makes it even better,” said Brad Niemiec, Director,
Centralized Accounts Payable for Oakwood Worldwide. Since 2007, the company has employed Kofax
Capture and Transformation Modules to automate the processing of thousands paper based invoices each
month.

“This solution allows us to integrate strategic suppliers directly into our accounts payable process, which
helps us realize additional savings from lower transaction costs, reduced exception handling due to lost
invoices and data entry errors, and other benefits,” Niemiec added.

Kofax e-Transactions utilizes software technology obtained earlier this month as a result of Kofax’s acquisition
of OptiInvoice, a Scandinavian company that develops and markets electronic invoice processing software.

Kofax Express Offers an Easy-to-Use Scan-to-Archive Solution for Batch Scanning Applications

Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, today announced the
launch of Kofax Express, a state-of-the-art, all-in-one application for batch scanning applications. Extending
Kofax’s global leadership in the capture market, Kofax Express offers the world’s most advanced
scan-to-archive application that is fast, easy-to-use and provides basic document capture capabilities.

Built on the Microsoft Office 2007 user experience, Kofax Express provides basic scanning and indexing
functionality, including features such as real-time image viewing, automatic indexing with bar codes, “key
from image” data entry capabilities, JPEG, TIFF and PDF output formats and flexible release scripts to
Microsoft’s SharePoint and other repositories. The application also includes Kofax’s VirtualReScan (VRS),
the de facto standard that dramatically improves image quality, making even damaged or otherwise
difficult-to-view documents readable.

Kofax Express provides a highly practical tool for small- and medium-sized organizations to reduce the amount
of paper they need to manage, thereby enhancing productivity and significantly lowering operating costs.
Unlike Kofax Capture, the market-leading capture application software, which provides high-volume,
production-level batch scanning capabilities, Kofax Express is designed for single user, single scanner and
basic batch scanning needs typically required by small- and medium-sized businesses.

“Kofax Express is evidence of our ongoing commitment to serve the entire spectrum of the capture market,
from basic scan-to-archive to the most advanced enterprise-level solutions,” said Andrew Pery, Chief
Marketing Officer at Kofax. “With Kofax Express, we are even better positioned to further strengthen our
market leadership in the fast-growing capture industry.”

The batch capture segment is expected to grow at an annual rate of 15 percent during the next several years,
reaching nearly $700 million of annual worldwide license and services revenue by 2011 according to a
recently released report published by Harvey Spencer Associates, Inc., an independent analysis and
research company.

Kofax Acquires Optilnovice Digital Technology AB

Transaction Adds Electronic Invoice Processing Software to Kofax Solutions

Basingstoke, October 6, 2008 – Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange
solutions, today announced that it has acquired the shares of OptiInvoice Digital Technology AB (“OptiInvoice”),
a Scandinavian company that develops and markets electronic invoice and other document processing software.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, OptiInvoice provides software that allows electronic invoices and
other documents to be digitally encrypted and transmitted or submitted via e-mail and other data streams in
standard text, image and extensible markup language (XML) file formats. It then allows the recipient to
accept and process those same files.

The majority of invoices and other documents continue to originate in a paper format but many companies and
government agencies are gradually migrating to electronic formats to improve efficiency and lower costs. As
a result, the adoption of electronic invoice and other document processing software is accelerating and users
are in need of a capture solution capable of accommodating both paper and electronic formats.

The combination of the OptiInvoice software with existing Kofax Capture and Transformation Modules
software addresses these market requirements. The OptiInvoice and Kofax software products have been
successfully integrated, and the integrated solution will be released during the current calendar quarter.

“This acquisition is a natural extension of our intention to grow both organically as well as through the
acquisition of synergistic software companies and products,” said Reynolds C. Bish, Chief Executive Officer at
Kofax. “It also begins to level the competitive landscape in the invoice processing segment of the capture
market, where we previously needed to partner with a third party to provide these capabilities while our most
direct competitor could already offer a complete solution. This should enable us to accelerate our revenue
growth in this important and rapidly-growing segment of the capture market.”

Kofax has paid 2.00 million Euros (£1.57 million) in cash upon the closing of the acquisition, a portion of
which will be held in escrow for a period of time. Further conditional payments estimated to be in the range of
1.31 million Euros up to a maximum of 10.00 million Euros (£1.03 to £7.84 million) may be made during the
ensuing 4 years subject to the achievement of certain performance criteria and the retention of certain
employees. The acquisition is expected to be EBITA neutral in the current financial year and accretive
thereafter. OptiInvoice broke even in the year ended December 31, 2007, and at December 31, 2007
reported gross assets of £205,479.

Kofax Acquires OptiInvoice Digital Technology AB Transaction Adds Electronic Invoice Processing Software

BASINGSTOKE, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kofax plc (LSE:KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent
Capture & Exchange solutions, today announced that it has acquired the shares of OptiInvoice Digital
Technology AB (“OptiInvoice”), a Scandinavian company that develops and markets electronic invoice
and other document processing software.

The majority of invoices and other documents continue to originate in a paper format but many companies and
government agencies are gradually migrating to electronic formats to improve efficiency and lower costs. As a
result, the adoption of electronic invoice and other document processing software is accelerating and users
are in need of a capture solution capable of accommodating both paper and electronic formats.

Bish, Chief Executive Officer
at Kofax. “It also begins to level the competitive landscape in the invoice processing segment of the capture
market, where we previously needed to partner with a third party to provide these capabilities while our
most direct competitor could already offer a complete solution. This should enable us to accelerate our
revenue growth in this important and rapidly-growing segment of the capture market.”

Kofax has paid 2.00 million Euros (£1.57 million) in cash upon the closing of the acquisition, a portion of which
will be held in escrow for a period of time. Further conditional payments estimated to be in the range of 1.31

4 years subject to the achievement of certain performance criteria and the retention of certain employees.

OptiInvoice broke even in the year ended December 31, 2007, and at December 31, 2007 reported gross
assets of £205,479.

“Large organizations are looking for enterprise-level solutions to not only capture but also transform documents

Kofax Document Exchange Server Achieves Compatibility with Ricoh Products

Kofax Solution Connects with Ricoh Multifunction Products (MFPs) to Streamline Business Processes at the
Enterprise Level

BASINGSTOKE, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent
Capture & Exchange solutions, today announced that Kofax Document Exchange Server has achieved
compatibility with multifunction products (MFPs) from Ricoh, a leading supplier of office automation equipment
and technology. This allows Kofax front-office capture solutions to connect with Ricoh MFPs to automate and
streamline document-driven business processes for enterprise-level deployments in large organizations.

Kofax attained compatibility through the Ricoh Developer Program, an extensive testing procedure that
ensures seamless integration of new or existing solutions with Ricoh hardware and software products. Kofax
Document Exchange Server now integrates with nearly all of Ricoh’s Embedded Software Architecture (ESA)
compatible MFPs, linking these devices to Kofax’s Capture and Transformation software as well as a variety of
enterprise content management and other repository systems.

Used in conjunction with MFPs, scanners, faxes and other devices, Kofax Document Exchange Server
simplifies business processes by capturing documents in the front office, where they originate, rather than
requiring that they be sent to a centralized back-office environment for processing. This accelerates that
processing and increases an organization’s competitive advantage by improving its responsiveness to
customers, thus providing a more strategic value proposition.

“Achieving compatibility with Ricoh further expands Kofax’s capabilities to provide the most advanced
Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions for enterprise environments,” said Andrew Pery, Chief Marketing Officer
at Kofax. “Kofax Document Exchange Server reduces paper-intensive business practices by automating and
unifying communications from multiple field offices and on-site devices. Organizations benefit from significantly
streamlined business processes that are faster, more accurate, less costly and more responsive to their
customers.”

The integrated Kofax and Ricoh solution also provides users with the ability to initiate workflows directly from the
MFP, customize the MFP panel based on the most frequently performed activities, enforce internal records
retention policies and compliance requirements, and enhance document security.

“The combination of Ricoh MFPs and Kofax Document Exchange Server is the next step organizations can
take toward making their document-driven business processes better, faster and easier,” said Hede Nonaka,
Senior Vice President, Document Services and Solutions Division with Ricoh Americas Corporation. “The
integrated solution also provides a significant opportunity for us to work with almost any organization that is
seeking new and innovative ways to improve efficiency and service levels.”

Leading Information Services Company Selects Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange to Meet its Customers’ Growing Demands

Irvine, CA - August 22, 2007 - Kofax today announced that Information Manufacturing Corporation (IMC), a data
exploitation and information services company, has expanded its existing solution based on Kofax Intelligent
Capture & Exchange. The newly updated solution integrates Kofax’s advanced automatic document separation
technology to help meet the growing demands of its customer base in the government and commercial markets.

"We’ve seen increased demand from some of our larger customers one with more than 350,000-400,000 human
resources documents to be processed each month and identified a critical need for Kofax’s automatic document
separation technology to complement our existing Kofax deployment," said Mike Taylor, Program Manager,
Information Manufacturing Corporation. "Now, not only are we able to keep up with demand, but we have
done so without causing fluctuations in production staffing levels all while maximizing efficiency."

Headquartered in Rocket Center, West Virginia, IMC provides comprehensive services for the transformation of
data into accessible and useful information and knowledge for a wide range of commercial, state and Federal
customers.

IMC, a service bureau, had an existing Kofax solution as the foundation for its capture environment that would
allow it to capture electronic information and extract hand-written and machine-printed data sent by its customers,
and transform that data into readily accessible information. IMC recently worked with Kofax to expand this initial
installation to integrate Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange, including Kofax’s automatic document separation
technology, which allows IMC to capture and process its customers’ incoming information in a more resourceful
manner.

Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange is well suited to companies like IMC that deal with large volumes of
documents. With its document separation capabilities, it increases efficiencies by eliminating the need to insert
separator sheets and reducing costs in consumables associated with printing separator sheets, such as paper,
ink and toner. Additionally, this helps reduce the cost of human errors associated with manual document separation.

IMC uses its Kofax solution to process more than 350,000-400,000 incoming human resources documents per
month for one of its longest standing customers. One of the largest staffing and job placement service providers
in the United States has been expanding to several overseas markets - while simultaneously realizing cost
savings and increasing efficiencies thanks to the Kofax solution used by IMC.

Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange Exceeds Expectations
IMC evaluated several solutions, primarily optical character recognition (OCR), before choosing to upgrade the
Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange, the centerpiece of Kofax’s strategic initiative to enable organizations to
streamline business processes by capturing documents in the front office, where they originate and move them
in real time to transactional business processes. The company sought a solution that could recognize zones of
formatted pages in order to pluck out specific data to populate index fields. This would mean a drastically
reduced amount of manual processing.

"Kofax’s technology not only performed the required zone recognition, but it also provided the additional benefit
of being able to recognize and automatically separate different types of forms," added IMC’s Vice President of
Conversion Technologies, Chip Watkins. "Kofax has exceeded our expectations in regards to process automation.
As a result, the exposure and use of the solution has expanded internally and is being used for various projects."

"We are pleased to hear success stories such as IMC’s which demonstrate that Kofax Intelligent Capture &
Exchange is helping our partners to better serve their customers," said Rob Klatell, chief executive officer for
Kofax’s parent company, DICOM Group. "We are committed to continuing to deliver new innovations that help
organizations to streamline their capture environments and, as a result, improve key business processes."

Kofax Unveils Simplified Branding Architecture that Underscores its Integrated Product Offering

Irvine, CA - April 18, 2007 - Kofax, the world’s largest information capture vendor, today unveiled a simplified
product branding that consolidates the company’s diverse product portfolio into a consistent and unified
architecture that is expected to yield more benefits and greater value to its customers and partners around the
world.

"Our new product branding architecture brings a higher degree of clarity to everything we do for our partners
and customers," said Rob Klatell, chief executive officer of Kofax’s parent company, DICOM Group. "The
first step of this process was the introduction of our Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange strategy late last year.
Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange encompasses everything we offer; everything we are about as a company.
It was born out of insight into the challenges our customers face across a range of paper- and transaction-
intensive industries."

The company’s offering includes information capture and business communications, all now contained within
Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange. Motivated by a desire to optimize the value of those capabilities for its
global network of partners and customers, the company’s product branding anticipates emerging market
demands and customer expectations. The results of a thorough analysis of market indicators and customer
preferences show:

·        The Kofax brand enjoys strong loyalty, based on reputation, market leadership and excellent products;
· There is a close association between internally developed Kofax-branded products and the company’s
acquired intelligent document recognition technologies and business communications lines;
· Customers believe integrated offerings that address transactional line-of-business solutions like procure-to-pay,
sales order processing, account openings, loan and credit card processing solutions will deliver incremental value;
and,
· There is heightened interest in extending traditional centralized back office batch capture to include
distributed, transactional front office information capture solutions.

"Increasingly, companies are seeking a broad solution that can help them capture information from a much richer
variety of sources including both paper and electronic documents and integrate that information into business-
critical workflows," said Melissa Webster, program director at IDC. "It's the end-to-end solution that provides the
real value from capture and intelligent routing through notification and alerts. Kofax's streamlined product
architecture and branding maps well to the solution footprint users are asking for."

According to Gartner, an independent industry research and advisory firm: "'Information infrastructure’ is emerging
as a concept that describes the alignment of technologies and functional capabilities that support consistent
and seamless enterprise information capture, persistence, transformation and delivery." Predicts 2007:
Information Infrastructure Emerges, 27 November 2006, Ted Friedman, Mark R. Gilbert, David Newman, Donald
Feinberg, Regina Casonato, Gartner, Inc.

The Kofax product branding initiative reflects the market trend toward consolidation of information capture
enabling technologies along the capture, transformation and communication value chain. The combination of
strategic product investments and a simplified product brand should further strengthen the company’s leadership
in the information capture market segment.

Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange serves as the foundation for the branding initiative. It takes in the
company’s diverse product portfolio and organizes it all under a simplified and modular brand architecture that
removes the complexity of certain product names and replaces them with a logical descriptive structure.
Capture and Exchange serve as the pillars of the organizing model. The Capture element includes all products
that enable customers to scan and process paper and electronic documents from multiple sources to intelligently
extract, analyze and transform information captured from such documents and move them to a business
application. The Exchange element includes all business communication technologies that provide a uniquely
differentiated offering through a multi-channel-based notification, confirmation, and alerting system that result in
significantly improved business relationships.

The new branding architecture also addresses the needs of market channels, including the certified re-seller,
solution providers, independent software vendors (ISVs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) as well
as enterprise class customers. Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange will be configurable in three editions:
Workgroup, Enterprise and Developer.

This gives customers flexibility in how they opt to license components of Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange.
A customer may initially license capture functionality and then add additional scope such as exchange
functionality. In addition, a customer may extend the reach of its solution from a departmental to an enterprise
deployment.

Kofax Signs Information Capture Agreement with Countrywide Financial Corporation, Begins

IRVINE, Calif., May 4, 2004 -- Kofax, the world's largest information capture vendor, today announced that
Countrywide Financial Corporation (CFC), a diversified financial services provider and Fortune 500, Forbes
500 and S&P 500 member, has selected the company's information capture technology for an initial installation
with Countrywide Bank, a division of Treasury Bank, N.A., a CFC subsidiary and nationwide provider of certificates
of deposit, money market accounts and home-loan products. Kofax's Ascent platform is currently being deployed
to eventually help Countrywide electronically capture and process more than 700,000 documents per month,
accommodating a wide range of different document types.

For the initial installation, Ascent provides the front-end that captures a high volume of information from a wide
range of loan and refinancing documents. Ascent securely transfers that data into the Documentum Enterprise
Content Management platform, which includes digital asset management and records management. Documentum
is the leading provider of enterprise content management (ECM) and division of EMC Corporation.

"We are always looking for ways to reduce the amount of time it takes to perform post-closing functions, and
Kofax's technology enables us to accomplish this goal by speeding the processing of collateral documents
associated with the loan," said Paul Decoff, Managing Director and Chief Operations Officer for Countrywide Bank.
"While it is premature to discuss Kofax technology beyond this installation, we are encouraged by the ROI
that we expect to see at Countrywide, where our initial investment has the potential to payback in less than nine months."

According to Decoff, Kofax was selected because its technology delivered the best image quality and enhanced
readability for scanned documents, and will enable Countrywide to perform sophisticated processing of those
documents. In addition, during the trial demonstrations, Ascent offered the easiest interface, which minimized the
need for training and consultation time. "To meet our ultimate goal of streamlining operations and lowering costs,
we will need to quickly and efficiently learn how to operate the information capture technology, then bring the function
in-house to Countrywide," said Decoff. "Kofax's intuitive software will enable us to achieve this goal."

Another key factor in the selection of the Ascent platform is the integration with Documentum 5, the latest version
of the Documentum ECM platform. The financial content is entered into the Documentum system through Kofax's
information capture technology. Countrywide plans to use Documentum as the standard platform for creation,
management, delivery and archival of content across the entire enterprise.

"Countrywide chose the Documentum ECM platform because of its mainframe-level scalability and performance
and ease of integration with enterprise solutions such as Ascent," said John Magee, vice president of product
marketing for Documentum "We look forward to continuing and growing our relationship with Kofax through our
work with Countrywide and similar customers with equally demanding requirements."

The Ascent platform provides powerful production capture technology that enables organizations to collect large
volumes of forms and documents, transform them into useful, retrievable electronic information, then deliver it all
into a variety of workflow and document management systems. The software can also capture e-documents and
XML streams as well as enable front-end integration with enterprise applications.

"Working with Countrywide on this installation presents a terrific opportunity for Kofax, and we are very pleased
that our information-capture technology can have such a tangible impact on the operations of the banking
division," said Rick Murphy, president and CEO at Kofax. "Our Ascent platform is ideal for the types of high-volume
applications that Countrywide is experiencing, and the operational savings and increased speed of business is
already evident at within the Bank."

KOFAX VRS SOFTWARE INTEGRATED ACROSS ENTIRE FUJITSU ENTERPRISE SCANNER FAMILY

IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 23, 2003 -- Kofax, the world's largest information capture vendor, today announced that
Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. is the first imaging company to integrate Kofax VirtualReScan (VRS)
software across its entire enterprise scanner family.

After years of successfully integrating joint document imaging solutions, Kofax and Fujitsu will cooperatively deliver
the latest version of VRS, Kofax's automated document image-perfecting software, across all levels of Fujitsu's "fi"
series of scanners.

Fujitsu was the first vendor to offer Kofax VRS technology with its scanners and has since significantly deepened
its partnership with the company. Now, Fujitsu will be the first vendor to offer VRS and Kofax Adrenaline 650i
SCSI scanner connector boards with their scanning solutions in the workgroup, departmental, low-volume production
and mid-volume production scanner categories.

Kofax's award-winning, patented, VRS technology sets the standard for document image processing and scanning
productivity enabling customers to achieve high-quality document capture more efficiently and at lower cost.

"Our alliance with Fujitsu underscores our philosophy of providing the best document imaging solutions to our
users and the channel," said Doug Rudolph, vice president of global sales for Kofax. "Kofax scanning technology
has long been widely embraced by the imaging community. This integration with Fujitsu's entire fi product line will
deliver exponential value to our joint customers."

Fujitsu's first scanner to integrate VRS and the Adrenaline 650i will be the fi-4860C, available in October. VRS
field upgrade kits are available now for Fujitsu scanner models fi-4120C, fi-4220C, fi-4990C and fi-4860C.

"Fujitsu has, since the beginning, recognized the enormous capabilities that Kofax's VRS technology delivers to
customers," said Don McMahan, vice president of sales for Fujitsu's Imaging Products Group. "VRS technology
is clearly the standard for document image quality in all types of scanning environments and, just as Fujitsu's first
VRS-equipped scanner raised the bar for the rest of the industry then, the new Fujitsu/Kofax partnership will do
the same in 2003.

"By deepening our relationship and further integrating our offerings, both Kofax and Fujitsu reaffirm their leadership
positions in the document imaging industry and, most important, bring an even greater array of world-class
imaging solutions to market."

VirtualReScan -- Improving Image Quality
Patented, award-winning VirtualReScan (VRS) technology delivers significant ROI by greatly improving the
readability of scanned documents. It automatically straightens, crops and optimizes images in real time. It also
increases the accuracy of data captured from scanned documents, reducing the need for manual corrections
of intelligent character recognition (ICR) and optical character recognition (OCR) results.

VRS improved OCR results approximately 35 percent in tests conducted by independent research firm Doculabs.
With VRS, users can load any combination of document types and sizes into a scanner and simply press the
scan button. The use of VRS as part of the document capture process results in lower operating costs due to
increased recognition accuracy, reduced rescanning, easier-to-read images, and a significant reduction in the
manual labor required to presort documents and change scanner settings. "VRS has emerged as the 'must-have'
feature for production document scanners," said J.D. Moons, Kofax director of marketing for image processing
products. "It's now a standard feature or an optional upgrade for products offered by all major document scanner
vendors."

based solution that enables office workers to rapidly collect transactional information and deliver it into a business
workflow. Ascent Ricochet extends the industry-leading Ascent information capture platform to every desktop in
the enterprise using low-cost scanners and multifunctional peripheral (MFP) devices.

"Ascent Ricochet is an ideal solution for business environments that must capture transactional data from different
sources and distribute it quickly," said Mike Morper, director of product marketing at Kofax. "Ascent Ricochet
provides a fast and economical way to deliver valuable information immediately into a business workflow. This
distributed capture solution provides instant data transmission without the costs and delays associated with
standard physical shipment of documents."

Ascent Ricochet 6.0 offers several enhancements including full support for VRS (VirtualReScan) 3.0, Kofax's
award-winning and patented image-perfecting technology. Ascent Ricochet 6.0 can now be used with all
scanners supported by VRS, enabling users to scan from their office desk and ensuring that Ascent Ricochet
users will display the best possible images on their desktop for indexing and delivery into the workflow.

Version 6.0 also provides server-level authentication, which allows multiple users to share a workstation. In

capture several sets of documents each day.

Ascent Ricochet enables document creators or content experts to scan images on current scanners, digital
copiers or other MFP devices at their location or at remote offices. From the desktop, they can quickly review
thumbnail images of scanned documents for quality. These documents are then assembled in a pre-defined
"package" and released into the workflow. Ascent Ricochet also enables users to attach other electronic
documents to the package as well obtain notification of delivery.

Among its many awards, Ascent Ricochet won Transform magazine's "Best of AIIM" accolade at the 2002 AIIM
industry trade show.

Availability Ascent Ricochet 6.0 is available now from 900 Kofax Solutions Providers (KSPs) worldwide. Pricing
is based upon a server license and the volume of images that are imported into Ascent Capture.
