Fujifilm North America Corporation - 2/2/2010
New Instant Print Kiosk Solutions Enable Retailers to Offer Consumers
More Products and Services
FUJIFILM North America Corporation will showcase a series of new instant print kiosk technologies at PMA
2010. Advances this year include the new GetPix® F7 kiosk terminal with Fujifilm’s new kiosk software,
GetPix® Version 5.0. In addition, Fujifilm will introduce the new ASK 2500 6” dye sublimation printer and its
new Quality Thermal Photo Paper. These latest kiosk innovations demonstrate Fujifilm’s ongoing
commitment to provide kiosk solutions that enable consumers to use their images to create high quality
traditional prints as well as specialty printed products.
“Fujifilm continues to develop new instant kiosk solutions that meet the demand for high quality prints and
creative photo products,” said Jim Riekert, director of marketing, Lab and Kiosk Equipment, Imaging Division,
FUJIFILM North America Corporation. “These new products help our customers to take full advantage of the
income potential of instant photo products by providing more options and products.”
Fujifilm’s new GetPix® F7 kiosk terminal and GetPix® Version 5.0 software provides a simplified order process
along with Fujifilm’s proprietary Image IntelligenceTM technology for exceptional print quality. Together, these
latest innovations provide a new and improved user interface that enables consumers to order photo products
ranging from high quality standard prints and enlargements to duplex photo books and assorted gift items.
Plus, the flexibility of GetPix® Version 5.0 kiosk terminal software can be configured for any Fujifilm kiosk or
Frontier Solution.
For instant prints, Fujifilm’s ASK 2500 dye sublimation printer can produce a variety of print sizes from 4”x6”,
5”x7”, and 6”x9” with a maximum print speed of 6.9 seconds per 4x6 print. It provides exceptional photo quality
with Fujifilm’s new Quality Thermal Photo Paper. The paper is manufactured through a proprietary coating
technology process that requires virtually no polluting organic solvents. The paper has increased whiteness
and a glossier finish, and has reduced static which improves consumer handling of prints.
These latest kiosk solutions are key components of Fujifilm’s ‘Expanding Frontier Solutions’ that enable
retailers to drive new revenue streams through an extensive photo product offering.
Availability
All of Fujifilm’s kiosk solutions mentioned above will be available in Q2 of 2010.
