Each year DPS Magazine does an in-depth discussion on web-to-print (W2P) platforms. In our October issue you’ll find a feature article looking at the drivers, benefits, and challenges associated with integrating W2P with ecommerce and marketplace ecosystems.
Here, we highlight product features and updates from those that participated in the article. Check out a Target Chart for a comprehensive resource guide as well.
Agfa
Agfa’s StoreFront W2P solution supports ecommerce integration via industry-standard JDF/JMF protocols, enabling communication and workflow integration with third-party systems. However, although Agfa currently does not use dedicated marketplace plugins, this flexible integration allows for robust connections with various ecommerce, payment, and logistics platforms according to client requirements. Agfa continues to adapt based on customer demand and as the need for ready-made ecommerce plug-ins grows, it is prepared to build on these foundational capabilities.
StoreFront delivers out-of-the-box integration with Asanti 7.0 from Agfa, resulting in exceptionally rapid setup and a seamless transition from order receipt to production. This direct connection optimizes the automation pipeline to ensure that jobs progress from customer order through to production equipment, all without needing intervention from an operator. A broad and adaptable range of integrations is also available for payment, delivery, and taxation providers, supporting customers’ compliance with regulations and logistics requirements regardless of where they are located.
Agfa’s W2P offering is primarily focused on sign and display and packaging markets, catering to both custom and high-volume requirements.
Enhancing security has been a major priority for Agfa, which has been addressed by implementing invisible reCAPTCHA tools into StoreFront to proactively block bots while preserving a smooth end user experience. The platform’s file transfer protocols have also been updated to improve protection, limiting exposure to external threats and ensuring better compatibility with firewalls by switching to passive mode. Other new features include additional media support to expand the range of printable products, and ongoing improvements to payment systems such as Stripe as well as tax systems that make the platform simpler to use.
Following the launch of Asanti’s 7.0 update at FESPA 2025, StoreFront is now fully compatible with Agfa’s latest prepress software. This connection enables users to leverage the latest automation and prepress features, while an update to order reporting to include direct links to preview images has enhanced identification and management.
StoreFront is available in Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers, each tailored for different customer profiles. Tiers differ in terms of included integrations, support coverage, and the availability of features like variable data printing. Customers can choose the package that best fits their requirements and business scale, while also accessing tailored support and consultancy.

Aleyant’s W2P offers storefront flexibility for both business to business and business to consumer focused print providers. With it, users are able to operate, and quickly deploy branded, customizable storefronts tailored to individual corporate clients or retail buyers.
The solution also features built-in personalization via eDocBuilder, which is a tightly integrated online design and variable data tool allows users to personalize print products in real time with live previews.
Aleyant also brings open architecture and integrations. Pressero supports REST APIs, Zapier, and a growing APP Marketplace, enabling plug-and-play integrations with CRMs, accounting software, file storage, and more.
It supports approval workflows and role-based access, which is ideal for enterprise and franchise models, with granular user controls, budget limits, and order approval routing.
Pressero is built to serve a range of customers, with strength in commercial printers seeking streamlined order intake and automation; in-plant/internal print facilities in corporations, universities, and healthcare; franchises and multi-location brands needing consistent brand control across storefronts; trade printers and resellers wanting customizable storefronts for client use; and retail print providers expanding into online storefronts and ecommerce.
Latest feature introductions include APP Marketplace Launch, which is a major upgrade allowing customers to easily integrate tools like QuickBooks, Trello, Slack, HubSpot, Google Drive, and more—either out-of-the-box or via custom development.
PDF2Press Integration is a new PDF2Press module that streamlines PDF processing directly within Pressero—offering preflight checks, file fixes, proofing, imposition, and production automation for faster, more reliable output.
CloudLab
CloudLab’s headless W2P platform offers ready-made plugins for Magento, BigCommerce, Shopify, and Shopware. These platforms, in turn, provide countless extensions—for shipping, payment processing, and beyond.

Customer’s Canvas
Customer’s Canvas is a comprehensive W2P platform tailored to the needs of commercial printers. It stands out in the market for its flexibility and deep integration capabilities, enabling businesses to create customized ordering workflows that match their operational requirements. Whether customers need to upload ready-made artwork, personalize templates through a WYSIWYG editor, or collaborate with a designer, the platform can accommodate a wide range of user journeys.
One of its key differentiators is a proprietary rendering engine, which ensures precise and high-quality output tailored for production. Combined with powerful design template management, this makes Customer’s Canvas a strong fit for complex and highly customized print products.
Customer’s Canvas was originally built to be integrated into other systems rather than operate as a standalone storefront. This makes it a natural fit for commercial printers looking to extend their ecommerce presence without disrupting their existing infrastructure. The platform was designed from the ground up to plug into ecommerce environments, whether it’s a standard online store or a more complex, custom-built solution.
Customer’s Canvas offers native integrations with popular ecommerce platforms like Shopify, and WooCommerce, along with a flexible set of APIs and SDKs to support fully custom implementations. This enables printers to incorporate advanced W2P functionality such as artwork upload, template-based customization, WYSIWYG editing, online proofing, and automatic generation of print-ready files directly into their storefronts.
Additionally, the company is seeing increased interest in connecting to online marketplaces like Amazon and Etsy. Customer’s Canvas can serve as the personalization layer that prepares print-ready assets behind the scenes, even when orders originate from these third-party channels.
It primarily serves commercial printers looking to digitize their ordering processes, expand into personalized products, or offer more responsive service to B2B customers. Its clients often operate in environments that require flexible product configuration and seamless integration with existing systems.
Among its latest feature updates is support for AI-driven image enhancements. It has also introduced an advanced color palette toolset designed to handle Pantone colors and specialized print processes like engraving and foiling. Additionally, the platform now supports scalable rendering nodes, which is especially useful for clients handling high volumes of direct mail or variable data jobs.
Customer’s Canvas is offered via a monthly subscription model. Pricing includes setup fees and optional implementation services, which can be tailored to the complexity of each client’s requirements. The approach is designed to provide long-term value, combining robust out-of-the-box capabilities with the flexibility needed for unique business cases.

A key differentiator is MegaEdit, Infigo’s online personalization and template engine, which supports advanced variable data and real-time previewing. For customers working with existing creative workflows, Infigo’s Invent plugin for Adobe InDesign allows teams to build editable templates directly from their design environment.
Infigo also offers deep integration capabilities with MIS, ERP, and ecommerce systems. This includes API-based connectivity and native integrations with platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, and print workflow systems such as printIQ. Recent enhancements include real-time shipping cost updates from MIS partners, improved multi-variant product ordering, and expanded attribute display logic to simplify the buyer experience.
Security and scale are supported through features such as Single Sign-On (SSO) and cloud or on-premise deployment options. XMPie
XMPie StoreFlow is a complete ecommerce W2Psolution out of the box, and what sets it apart is that it comes with built-in personalization capabilities—a feature that typically requires additional integration in other systems.
With StoreFlow, print providers can launch fully functional eCommerce storefronts that support everything from product browsing and ordering to payment processing and user management. But more importantly, because it’s powered by XMPie’s personalization engine, StoreFlow enables customers to create and order personalized print products—like business cards, brochures, and direct mail—directly within the storefront experience.
This tight integration between ecommerce and personalization means providers can offer highly customized, data-driven products without needing to stitch together multiple platforms. And for those who already have an existing eCommerce presence, StoreFlow’s open architecture and API support make it easy to integrate with platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento—bringing the power of XMPie personalization into any digital commerce environment.
XMPie StoreFlow is designed for a wide range of users, including commercial printers, marketing service providers, franchise networks, corporate enterprises, and higher education, healthcare, and government agencies.
Recent updates to StoreFlow and the broader XMPie platform include enhanced Shopify and WooCommerce integration, enabling personalized product ordering within mainstream eCommerce environments; expanded analytics and reporting tools, giving providers deeper insights into storefront performance and customer behavior; and support for subscription-based products and repeat ordering, ideal for recurring print needs.
XMPie offers a modular and scalable pricing model designed to fit a wide range of business needs. Customers can license only the components they require, making it easy to start with a core W2P setup and expand over time. Pricing is influenced by several factors, including the deployment model—whether the solution is hosted on-premise or in the cloud. On-premise deployments may require more powerful server infrastructure to handle high volumes of personalized output, while cloud-based options offer flexibility, simplified maintenance, and easier scalability.
Optional modules—such as advanced personalization or omni-channel marketing integration—can be added as needed, allowing customers to tailor the platform to their specific workflows and growth plans. This flexible approach ensures that both small providers and large enterprises can build a solution that aligns with their operational and commercial goals.
