Print Versatility. Labels and Wide Format at the Core .

By DPS Magazine Staff

Across the globe, print providers are tasked with offering a range of products and services. Versatility is imperative when it comes to attracting and retaining customers.

Established in 2006, Zebra Print Group is a family-owned business delivering expert, end-to-end print solutions for nearly two decades. Founded by David Storr with a vision to offer high-quality, affordable print services, the company is now led by his daughter Samantha, continuing the legacy of excellence and innovation.

A proud champion of British manufacturing, all of Zebra Print Group’s printing and production is carried out in the heart of Yorkshire.

As a true one-stop shop, Zebra Print Group manages every stage of the process—from initial artwork creation through to final delivery—simplifying complex print projects while keeping budgets and deadlines firmly on track.

Whether producing business cards or coordinating national campaigns, the team’s mission is to consistently deliver reliable, high-quality results tailored to each client’s specific needs.

With a comprehensive range of capabilities across digital, lithographic, large format, and web printing, the shop also operates a dedicated design department offering full briefing, proofing, and last-minute artwork support.

Its nationwide reach, paired with a highly personal approach, means its clients benefit from both scale and attention to detail. The team also supports brand differentiation through a range of promotional merchandise, from pens and mugs to USB sticks and branded clothing, helping businesses stand out and succeed.

Equipment Range
The print provider began investing in its own equipment in 2019, with the goal of bringing more jobs in house and achieving a greater degree of control over lead times and quality of the finished product.

Zebra Print Group ensures precision and professionalism at every turn. Equipment the team uses includes the Xerox 3100, Xerox v280, Canon Arizona, Canon Colorado 1650 and M series, Polar guillotine, Duplo booklet maker, Duplo Creaser DC 500, banner eyeletter, Vivid easy mount glue machine, Vivid large format laminator, and the Heidleberg A3 Platen. It also runs a Fiery RIP and ONYX software to drive the machines.

Samantha Overton, managing director, Zebra Print Group, estimates that its business is split 60/40 between digital and lithographic output.

It provides a variety of printed materials, but its most popular application is retail display.

Among the devices used to create this work are its two Canon Colorado wide format UV printers. “Our first Colorado was purchased in 2021 and was part of a wider acquisition involving purchase of a struggling business, this enabled us to bring a large portion of outsourced work in house. Since then we have gone on to purchase the new Colorado M-Series in 2024, which gives us even more capabilities including printing two-sided window graphics in one pass,” shares Overton.

The shop uses these machines to produce large printed panels on correx and foamex media.

It also operates a Canon Arizona flatbed printer. With this, it creates large printed panels on correx and foamex media.

Label Work
An area growing for Zebra Print Group is label work. Overton says around 30 percent of all its digital work is self-adhesive labels and around 90 percent of that is digital.

To produce labels it uses its Xerox print engines and Canon roll to roll production equipment.

“We invested in this equipment across the last five years with each addition bringing something new to increase our offering,” shares Overton.

Overton says the biggest challenge around label production is understanding the application so that it can select the right material to give the best possible result.

Well Versed
The Zebra Print Group is an excellent example of a one-stop print provider. From lithographic prints to digitally produced wide format graphics and self-adhesive labels, the shop is equipped to handle it all.
