Toshiba Honors Largest International Distributor, Ranko S.A.

08.18.2015

By helping successfully expand Toshiba America Business Solutions’ sales and brand recognition in Argentina throughout the last two decades, the company honors its largest international distributor, Ranko S.A. Toshiba’s Senior Vice President of Sales Americas, Larry White and Toshiba International Sales Director, Adrian Fuentes-Sanabria delivered the award to Ranko’s President and Chief executive officer, Rodolfo Paskvan during the office equipment distributor’s national meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina on May 19th.

Upon partnering with Ranko in 1994, sales of Toshiba’s portfolio of industry-recognized e-STUDIO™ multifunction products (MFPs) and network document solutions have risen substantially in Argentina. Though the South American country’s economy has undergone challenges during this timeframe, Ranko has experienced steady success. Since fiscal year (FY) 1994, Ranko’s sales of Toshiba products and services have increased by more than 130 percent. When comparing the distributor’s revenue during the last five fiscal years (from 2010 to 2014), Ranko’s overall revenue has spiked by nearly 60 percent to $20 (U.S.) million in annual revenue in 2014.

“We are very fortunate and thankful for our 20-year partnership with Ranko,” White said. “Having relatively little brand recognition within Argentina at the beginning of our relationship, Rodolfo and his entire team have almost single-handedly expanded our company’s awareness and sales footprint exponentially in his country.”

“When we began the business, our primary objective was finding a preeminent technology partner capable of equipping our customers with a streamlined, best-in-class print fleet,” Paskvan said. “When the opportunity with Toshiba presented itself, we knew we had found a partner and that relationship has flourished ever since that moment.”

With 120 dealers throughout Argentina, Ranko currently services 500 major accounts including many of the preeminent banking, energy and technology companies in the country.
